80's, rock & comics
Paulo Rocker, 44, born in Brasília, has been an illustrator for as long as he can remember and is a design graduate from the University of Brasília (UnB). His influences come from the comics he has read since childhood and from music, which continues to shape and inspire his aesthetic to this day.
Passionate about posters, he considers screen printing the highest form of illustration. For him, nothing surpasses printed work — and no print surpasses screen printing.
In addition to his visual art, Paulo is the vocalist and guitarist of the band Gramofocas, with whom he released albums and performed in Brazil and across Europe. This musical experience strengthens his connection between sound and image, influencing a body of work marked by irreverence, humor, and social critique.
